Fees and FAQs

What is the fee?

My fees are normally 70€ per face-to-face session and Skype sessions. I can offer a limited number of sessions at a lower price depending on income and personal circumstances. The payment is made in cash at the end of the session or via an electronic bank transfer if previously agreed.

How long is a session?

The session lasts 50 minutes and ends at the set time regardless of whether the person has arrived later than the scheduled time. Normally we set the same time and day of the week to meet but I am flexible depending on the circumstances.

What happens if I have to cancel a session?

If you are unable to make an appointment, let me know and I will try to re-arrange another one in the same week.

Appointments cancelled or missed with less than two days notice will be charged in full, unless an alternative time can be arranged for the same week.

If you arrive late for an appointment, we will still end at the pre-arranged time. Rescheduling can be easily done by phone or email. I will always do my best to accommodate you when possible.

How does it actually work?

We will typically have an initial meeting to establish what your needs are and to determine whether the therapy will be helpful for you. Of course after the initial evaluation you can decide you do not want to continue. But if you want to attend this therapy this will compromise by both parties. After a certain number of sessions we will check if it’s working.

How does the therapy treatment end?

Our therapy will always start with a fixed number of sessions, and it is very important to respect this agreement even though at times the process can become difficult or painful and you may feel like you want to leave. After the agreed number of sessions we will decide whether to continue or not; we will review the process regularly.

Is counselling confidential?

Of course. However, as required by law, there are certain exceptions, for example, if there is risk of harm to an individual or others, or if there are major laws being broken.

How often do I attend?

We usually recommend meeting once a week, but sometimes this may vary from once every two weeks or twice a week; every case is different. At the end of a complete therapy session it is very common to space out the meetings to help maintain the positive changes achieved.

What issues can I help you with?

You can review the issues treated under the tab “Therapies”. If you think what is happening to you is not reflected in this list and you would like advice about possible treatments, please do not hesitate to contact me.

You probably have more questions or concerns. I will be happy to help you by phone or email. If something’s going on and you do not know how to control it, why wait?
